This Privacy Policy explains how Akult Incorporated collects, uses, and protects information when you use Hoist, including the Hoist iOS app and hoist.life.

Information we collect

Hoist may collect information you provide directly or generate while using the app, including:

• Account information, such as your Apple Sign in identifier and authentication token used to operate your account.
• Profile and onboarding information, such as name, training experience, goals, units, preferences, and equipment access.
• Fitness and training information, such as workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weight, completion status, training notes, limitations, injuries, pain or restriction notes, and program context you choose to provide.
• Subscription and entitlement information, such as App Store product identifiers, transaction identifiers, purchase status, renewal status, and related App Store Server Notification events. Hoist does not receive or store your full payment card details.
• Technical information, such as device/app diagnostics, request metadata, and logs necessary to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use information

We use information to:

• Provide and personalize workout generation, workout logging, progress history, and training recommendations.
• Respect your stated limitations, preferences, and training context.
• Verify subscriptions and provide paid managed workout generation.
• Maintain account security, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve Hoist.
• Comply with legal, safety, and platform obligations.

AI processing

Hoist may use AI model providers to generate or analyze workout-related content. When Hoist uses backend-managed generation, relevant training context may be sent to model providers only as needed to provide the requested feature. Do not enter information you do not want processed for this purpose.

Health and safety

Hoist is a fitness training tool and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. You should consult a qualified professional before starting or changing a fitness program, especially if you have injuries, medical conditions, pain, or other health concerns.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate Hoist, including hosting, database, authentication, App Store subscription processing, analytics/diagnostics, and AI generation providers. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer.

Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide Hoist, maintain workout history, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may contact us to request deletion of your account information, subject to legal and operational retention requirements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet or storage system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can choose what training context to provide, request account deletion or privacy help, and manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings.

Children

Hoist is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
